factory light festival

factory light festival (FLF) an innovative international art festival in Eastern Norway that promotes light and digital works as an art form. Focusing on visual art where light is the central dissemination medium, factory light festival shows the foremost of light art from Norwegian and international artists. The festival is well known for the large scale 3D-video mappings at the big silos in Slemmestad Norway, and using the rough, historical, industrial environment of the old cement factory here as a unique canvas and scene for art.
The festival is expanding and (today) takes place at various, unique locations in Asker. The festival is developing a new, unique site specific festival, art and light art experiences at new environments/settings and canvases.
The festival is open to everyone and draws the audience of all ages with thousands of people gathering to experience light art. Members of the international Light Festival Organizers Association and well integrated with both artists and technical manufacturers, factory light festival will enable the use of new technologies at an architectural scale.
