Production: blekksprut1 productions

Medium: Medium format hologram projection on mesh or smoke, with atmospheric sound design.

Location: A secret forest in Norway (Flight #1 – February 20, 2026)

“ørnen” is a profound homage to the majestic eagles of Norway, particularly the golden eagles of Geiranger, and a celebration of the iconic Ørnevegen (Eagle Road) and Ørnesvingen (Eagle Bend) viewpoints. These legendary locations not only offer breathtaking vistas of Geiranger but also serve as a welcoming gateway for visitors, embodying the spirit of Norwegian nature and hospitality.

Through a mesmerizing hologram mapping, “Ørnen” brings to life the powerful flight of an eagle, projected onto a delicate fishing net (mesh). This ethereal depiction creates a sense of the eagle soaring freely, interacting with its environment, and evoking the raw beauty of the Norwegian landscape. The visual spectacle is complemented by a carefully curated atmospheric soundscape, designed to transport the viewer into the tranquility and grandeur of the eagles’ domain.

blekksprut1’s “ørnen” is deeply intertwined with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 13: Climate Action and Goal 15: Life on Land. The artwork serves as an immediate call to action, urging viewers to “take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.” By highlighting the magnificent eagles and their natural habitat, the installation underscores the critical importance of protecting, restoring, and promoting the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems. It champions sustainable forest management, combats desertification, reverses land degradation, and, crucially, strives to halt biodiversity loss.

“ørnen” is an immersive experience that aims to foster a deeper connection between humanity and nature, inspiring stewardship and immediate engagement with the urgent challenges of our changing climate and the preservation of life on land. The artist’s distinctive style, as showcased on www.blekksprut1.no, infuses the piece with a unique blend of ethereal beauty and impactful storytelling.
